Response from the author:

Are you saying that I need to add more levels? 😉

Great game, didn't expect it to have so many levels! I actually got to the 16th one before I remembered I wanted to check out the rest of the site. Would recommend!

It is fun to try and speedrun.

Response from the author:

I have actually startet a rewrite of the game where it takes advantage of VERA instead of only using KERNAL functions and there I plan to add a timer and possibly a point-system that depends on the amount of times you touch fields multiple times.

Great game! Simple but very playable, the essence of 8-bit gaming.

I’m addicted to this game.  I wish there were more levels.

Response from the author:

I have started thinking about a version 2 of the game where code is optimized to the Commander X16 and where it is easier to add levels. In the meantime, you are welcome to start designing levels that can be added to either this version or the new version when I get it finished.

see https://github.com/jimmydansb/cx16-maze/ for source and how mazes are store in memory. You can also have a look at https://techblog.dansbo.dk/?p=326 for a more detailed description.

I would be happy to implement more levels, but it does take some work to ensure that a maze is solvable and so on.

It worked very nice, I couldn't stop playing. The first levels teach you what you have to do and how and then they go on. I didn't actually want to play to the end but I couldn't stop playing it says Q for quit and R for reset but it wouldn't let me out, only the spacebar for the next level worked, I was trapped ! I couldn't stop playing ! But the only other thing I got working was the matrix screensaver, even the x16 robots wouldn't work at all for my system. Oh well. Actually I think I'll go get trapped playing it again ! 5 out of 5 for playability !

Great game! A short ending sequence would be cool.

Response from the author:

Do you mean an ending sequence for each level or when all levels are completed?

Nice simple game. You could add a score by giving the user a certain number of points per block visited and then subtract points for visiting a block more than once.
