Creating SD Card Images from Directory on Windows

Question

Hi! I'd like to start developing with the x16 again but the project I have in mind will need files stored on the SD card. Right now I can't find a decent solution (on Windows) to create an SD card .img file from the files in a data directory. I would really like to find a command-line tool that can do this so I can automate the build script.

If anyone knows of something let me know. Otherwise I'll probably use a GUI and live with it 😞

I used WSL to do it. That way you can do it the usual Linux way.  Unfortunately it was a while ago so I forget all the steps I took. Looking at this page though, I'm pretty sure this is basically what I did (note that you need WSL2 to mount loop devices). Hope it helps:
