Where to download?

Post by GyrUsS »

Hi,
I am a new user here, I saw the project in the 8-bit guy channel, and I am totally fascinated!
I want to try to experiment and code, and I saw there is an emulator for windows, that would be perfect waiting for the REAL Machine to be on the market!
Problem: I tried the link from the main website and here on the forum but... The first doesn't work. The one in the forum has no links.
Where I can actually a Win compiled version of the emulator?
Thank you all and really a fascinating project!

You can find the latest release of the official emulator here:
https://github.com/commanderx16/x16-emu ... es/tag/r41

Just download "x16emu_win-r41.zip" and unzip it into whatever directory you wish. Then run "x16emu.exe" from there.
Developer for Box16, the other X16 emulator. (Box16 on GitHub)
I also accept pull requests for x16emu, the official X16 emulator. (x16-emulator on GitHub)

Sorry about that - we're still cleaning things up after a bit of a rushed move to get in here.

Stephen's link is the correct one, and that will get you to the downloads for all officially supported versions of the emulator. You can also browse through there to get previous versions.

We're hoping to fix the Downloads section this weekend.

FYI, the download link on the home page should now point to the Official Software download area here.

Also, all of the legacy downloads should be available on the download section.
